There are a million books about Oprah Winfrey, some of them are very informative, some of them are quite inspirational, and some of them just look good but have hardly any information.

Nowadays, I would always suggest to buy the DVD Collection (you should see a picture of it on the right side here...) It contains her story on the first DVD told by Oprah herself with lots of further information. However, as we all know, books have their advantages, so here are some of the books you will most likely find in a bookstore or at Amazon.com:

Janet Lowe, Oprah Winfrey Speaks, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 1998.

I like that book, it is Oprah's story told in her own words with lots of quotes and interesting anecdotes.

George Mair, Oprah Winfrey: The Real Story, Carol Publishing Group, 1996

It's good book, especially when you're interested in the early beginnings of Oprah's life.
